Bundaberg Rum Dark & Stormy To find the origins of this fine product, we need to go way back to 1993. It was a dark & stormy night. Fate rested on the roll of the dice. Who would win, who would lose. Who would stay, who would go. The atmosphere was tense, palpable, you could cut it with a knife. In a dark, dusty corner of the local pub in Bundaberg, a man was living on the edge. Down to his last note, a pocketful of change, and rolling the dice in a last ditch bid to break the shackles. The barman, startled by the intensity of his gaze, offered him a drink. "You could use one buddy". The man, wouldn't speak, just a raise of the eyebrow in acknowledgment. The barman knew that just a regular drink wouldn't cut it. He thought back to his days on the high seas, when the sailors would be rolling the dice of their own. He remembered the mix, the only drink that could cut through an atmosphere this thick. He mixed it up. He slid it across the bar. The player stopped it with the slightest of movements. He took a sip. His eyes lit up. He knew exactly what to do. Bundaberg Rum. Ginger beer. Bundaberg Red & Cola New Bundaberg RED. Extra Smooth Rum. Filtered using Australian Red Gum. Bundaberg RED was born from a challenge to create a smoother style of rum, while still retaining the unique Bundy character. Using the ingenuity that Aussies are famous for, our distilling team have created an incredibly smooth rum, using a unique filtration process which delivers an incredibly smooth taste. Now, filtration is not something new, however the idea of using a unique Red Gum filter is. Bundaberg RED goes through a similar double distillation and aging process as our signature Bundy UP. This helps to create the unique character famous all over this country. What happens next is the key. Bundaberg RED goes through 3 separate filtration processes which create an incredibly smooth profile.
This three stage process removes some of the stronger flavour compounds which exist in the regular Bundaberg UP, and allows some of the more subtle flavours to shine through. The result? An incredibly smooth, easier drinking Rum. Available in 700ml bottles (37% ABV), and premixed with cola in cans & stubbies (4.8% ABV). |
Bundaberg Rum & Cola Bundaberg Rum & Cola was first created in the 1940's, when some local opportunists at the distillery noticed the US soldiers who were on rec leave in Australia, liked to mix their Rum with Cola. They had the bright idea of premixing Bundaberg Rum & Cola in a bottle. The modern day Bundaberg Rum & Cola in a can was first released in 1985. Firmly entrenched in the Australian vernacular, the "Black Rat" is a the affectionate term for a can of Bundy & Cola. No-one quite knows when or where this started, however the name, which is a reference both to the colour of the can and the contents, stuck. Now a favourite all around the country, the "Black Rat" is almost as iconic as the Bundaberg Rum brand itself. From it's humble beginnings as a single variant, Bundy & Cola is now available in several varieties: the original (4.8%), Mid Strength (3.5%), Super Dry - for the Cleaner Crisp taste (3.5%) and Premium Strength (6.5%). |
Bundaberg Rum Dry & Lime Dry & Lime is a smooth blend of Bundaberg Rum mixed with dry ginger ale and a hint of lime. Using the famous Bundaberg Rum and blending it with our own recipe of Dry Ginger Ale & Lime, Bundaberg Rum Dry & Lime is a "Surprisingly Refreshing Taste". This refreshing taste makes it the perfect drink for a hot summer's day and a great drink to share at a barbeque with mates. Available in 375ml cans or 345ml stubbies (4.8% ABV). |

Canadian Club Premix Unlike American whiskies (which are usually aged for a pitiful 3-4 years) the C.C. that you buy in a bar or bottle store is a healthy 6 years old. Because CC tastes so good it can be drunk straight, but if you do feel like mixing it up a bit, Dry ginger ale or Cola is a good start. If you're feeling a little more adventurous why not try a splash of Cranberry, Ginger Beer or Lime & Soda. |
