Peter Lehmann of the Barossa - The PEOPLE, STORIES & WINES THAT MAKE the BAROSSA FAMOUS.
Each of these wines is distinguished by one of the many faces of the Queen of Clubs. The Barossa range also includes wines of special appeal and personality, including a Peter Lehmann GSM (Grenache Shiraz Mourvedré) and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.
A delicate pale lemon colour, it shows fresh white peach, a hint of fig and some barrel complexity on the nose. It is a beautifully balanced and restrained wine with excellent soft fruit definition: a stylish and elegant face of Chardonnay. This wine in its vibrant youth, or with careful cellaring, it will continue to develop in the bottle for a further 5 years. It makes a splendid accompaniment to roast chicken or pork & creamy pasta dishes. |
A delicate pale straw with green tints, the nose is a fragrant mélange of lemon blossom, with notes of grapefruit and beeswax. The palate is lively, clean and zippy and beautifully refreshing. Simply a wonderful wine to sip, when a glass of wine seems a very good idea! A must have white wine in the fridge for any occasion. Lightly chilled, Semillon is a delicious apéritif, and makes a perfect partner for seafood and chicken dishes and a delight with Caesar Salad! |
A delicate green gold, with notes of lemon flower and hints of white peach on the nose. The Chardonnay adds a touch of softness and complexity on the middle palate which beautifully complements the fresh, crisp zestiness of the Semillon. It is a truly harmonious blend which makes for a delightful sip. The extra depth of this wine makes it an ideal partner for cooked seafood dishes such as salt and pepper squid, tempura prawns and crab cakes. It is also a good match for lighter chicken dishes. |
Pale yellow with delicate green tints, the wine has a floral lift and lime bouquet. Eden Valley has typically refreshing lime flavours on the palate which are cut with, fine acidity and a steely finish. With careful cellaring, it will continue to develop and honey in the bottle for a further five to ten years. Enjoy icy cold as a refreshing aperitif, or pair with seared Ahi tuna or fresh green salad. |
