Medium straw in colour with a fine continuous bead. The nose has lifted fruit characters with some slight 'toastiness'. This characteristic shows the benefits of blending both aged and young wines to give this consistent style. The palate is soft and full flavoured with a good 'mousse'.
An ideal aperitif and will compliment hors d’oeuvres, pate, eggs, vegetables, fish and smoked small goods.

Traditionally made sparkling wines have been produced in the Hunter Valley since the 1950’s and Tyrrell’s have a long historical association with traditionally made bottle fermented sparkling wine.
At Tyrrell’s they prefer to make the fuller, richly flavoured champagne style and each of their sparkling wines are testament to that.
The colour is a medium yellow and the nose shows full, clean Semillon, lifted citrus and some straw notes. On the palate these flavours are added to with toasty, yeast characters gained in the winemaking process. Great served as an aperitif, will complement an endless array of food styles. |
Sweeter and richer than most sparkling reds, this Sparkling Cabernet Sauvignon mixes the full, round, blackberry flavour of the grape with a creamy softness from oak maturation, with the resultant wine providing an explosion of flavours and truly Cabernet Sauvignon fruit characteristics. This Sparkling Cabernet Sauvignon matches very well with a wide variety of foods, including spicy sausages, kebabs, spicy Asian cuisines or simply your favourite red meat dish.
